Latina Christiana II - Review Lesson II p. 47

In helping my daughter complete page 47 in her Latina Christina II workbook (Review Lesson II), I am thinking that the answer key is wrong for the exercises in Drill A.

Number 1 - Answer key: to, for danger (I believe it should be: in, by, with, from danger)

Number 3 - Answer key: by, with , from the commandments (I believe it should be: to, for the commandments)

Number 4 - Answer key: to, for the men (I believe it should be: in, by, with, from the men)

Number 7 - Answer key: by, with, from the age (I believe it should be: to, for the age)

Can someone please verify that either the answer key is indeed correct or if I am correct and the answer key is wrong? Thank you.

In fact the answer key is correct. In Latin, the dative case is used generally for the indirect object (normally translated with to/for), and the ablative case, when used without a preposition in Latin is normally translated with by/with/from.

Page 26 in the Teacher Manual of Latina Christiana II has more information regarding the cases.
