Third Form Latin Lesson 30 Worksheet 5

At the beginning of the third line, the translation of the sentence "Haec est vero res occulta." reads "This is truly a mysterious affair." in the answer key. Vero seems to be masculine and an adjective. Why not verē?

    Thanks!

    Good morning,

Some adjectives become adverbs by adding "o" instead of "e." Verus is one of these adjectives, and so we should have footnoted it. My sincere apologies for the confusion!

P.S. The adverb form vere does occur, but vero is more common.
