    Lesson plans for literature

Does anyone know if lesson plans exist for the literature selections that are not currently in a core? I am rethinking curriculum for my older children and switching completely to MP, but they will be all over the place and not in a set core due to the other curriculum they have completed. I want to do some of the other selections, but want the ease of just looking at a lesson plan and knowing what needs done that day.

    Hello.

Which books are you needing lesson plans for? We may have them.

I found the individual plans on the website, but I would really like To Kill a Mockingbird and The Scarlet Letter and they are not listed.

        Julie,
We did those two books this past year without a lesson plan and it was no trouble at all. We had four MP lit guides that we spaced out evenly over the year. They all have the same format, but they vary by length of "Part I", "Part II", that sort of thing. She knew that Lit was a daily subject, and it was easy to figure out how much to do at a time. I know that is not specific at all, but if you got the guides that you want, you could figure out how to get them done in a reasonable time.

          Hello.

We don't have the lesson plans done for Scarlet or Mockingbird, but I can tell you how many weeks we have slated for these novels if that will help:

          Mockingbird: 12 wks.
          Caesar: 8 wks.
          Scarlet Letter: 6 wks.
          Romeo & Juliet: 7 wks.

This could change as we start laying it out, but this is our initial sketch.
