Pronunciation and chant CDs for Henle?

I need help! I am tutoring five ninth graders. I am very shaky on Latin pronunciation. Even more confusing is the fact that two of the students have used ecc. pronunciation and I was taught classical....decades ago....and it is not a pretty sound or sight! Is there something available to help us?

    Hello,

No. 1018 (pp. 241-242) of Henle's Latin Grammar contains a guide for classical pronunciation (also called Roman pronunciation).

No. 1019 (p. 242) of the same book has a guide for ecclesiastical pronunciation (also called Italian pronunciation).

These guides should give you a good start. If, however, you want a more thorough explanation, I recommend getting the Pronunciatus Latinus booklet and CD available here.

    Hope this helps,
    Maria
